Frequently Asked Questions
”I have lots of old gold and odd bits of jewellery…is there something we can do with it?”
Yes! Absolutely.
One of our specialties is recycling and remodelling your old jewellery into something new. We can melt down your gold and use any old stones you might have and want to incorporate. Any remaining gold you have can be part-exchanged for scrap value against the cost of your remodel.
“I want something unique. Do you make jewellery?”
Yes indeed!
Maybe you have seen a picture of something you like but can’t find it anywhere to purchase, or maybe you would like to have something a little bit different to your friends. We design from the initial sketch and follow your piece of jewellery through to completion.
If you can dream it we can design it.
“How much does a bespoke design cost?”
The quick answer is there is no set cost.
The price depends on the design. All the different elements are taken into account such s how much metal we need, if there are gemstones or diamonds in your design etc. For example a small dainty ring would need less metal than a big chunky ring therefore the dainty ring would be less expensive than the chunky ring.
We work on an estimate basis so you will always know the cost before any work has commenced.
“Can you value my Jewellery?”
Yes!
We perform valuations in-house, meaning they don’t leave our shop because we do the valuations ourselves. Take a look at our valuation page for the services we offer.
“Can you clean my jewellery?”
Yes!
We offer an in-house cleaning service to remove dirt and grime. This takes approximately 15minutes, ready for collection after you’ve had a shop in the High Street!
Alternatively we can clean & polish your yellow gold, platinum, or palladium, and rhodium plate your white gold in our workshop. With this service they come back looking brand new!
“Should I buy a lab grown diamond?”
A lab grown diamond has all the same attributes as a mined diamond.
The only difference is that it is not found in the earth. It is not possible to distinguish between the two with the naked eye or even low grade machinery. They still have different levels of quality but because they are not mined they are a less expensive option.
All of our lab grown diamonds are certified as standard.
